Margin

In first grade my teacher taught me not to write in the margins. It was okay if a couple letters crossed the line, but it wasn’t good to fill up all the space.

Growing up it seems my dad was always telling me I had no margin in my life. I filled up every moment and left nothing to spare. Of course I reaped the consequences.

The next two weeks are my margin.

I am ending my time in Elevate, at Antioch, in Waco, and living near my college friends. I am indeed going from one great adventure to another, but I cannot express my gratitude for this margin: time to invest a little more, to finish life group, to have one last lunch, coffee, run… time to say goodbye.

These two weeks in Waco may be some of the best of my life.

Suggestion: leave a little margin in your life.
