Nana

This weekend my grandmother was honored as a woman of excellence.

They said a lot of nice things about her at the banquet.

But I have dozens more memories that give reason to why she is such a woman of God.

I remember waking up in the wee hours of the morning as a little girl to find my grandmother in the kitchen or at her desk studying her Bible- she always invited me to do the same. And bought me bibles throughout the years to encourage pursuit of His word. She’s done likewise for so many others too. She is always thinking of those who might be in need or lonely, especially at holidays, inviting them to join us for thanksgiving or Christmas dinner or making a plate and sending us over to deliver it. They were the people from church, or the ladies she visits that can’t leave their homes. My grandmother is quite a woman of excellence. She looks out for the children baking them cookies, and feeding the hungry… hungry college students passing through her house and those who are really hungry. She give generously and always opens her doors wide.

I am blessed to fall under the annointing of such amazing women.
