Lately I feel like I need to hit the pause button. Slow down. Take a couple things off my plate.
I have been going non-stop. For days. And it has been amazing:
School, Celebration of the marriage of a friend, Hanging out in Austin, Church, Committee meetings for Baylor’s Mission Conference, Tri-Delta, More meetings, and some more school.
Yet it is all draining. And thus I am so grateful for a God in whom I can find rest.
28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 28:11-30
I am grateful for a place to hide.
7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32: 7-8
I am grateful for the still. The quiet. The restoration.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:2-3
